CHILD AND ADOLESCENT PSYCHOTHERAPY

Our experienced therapists work with children of all ages who are having difficulties with their emotions, peers, behaviors, or academic performance. The initial assessment is done with the parents and is focused on identifying the causes of the child’s problems and developing a treatment plan. The initial session may or may not include the child depending on the circumstance. Play therapy is available for younger children who may have difficulty expressing their feelings in words. For older children and adolescents, talk and experiential therapies are available including cognitive-behavioral, behavioral, psychodynamic, modified dialectical behavioral, family systems and mindfulness therapies.
