Therapy Appointment
As a Psychiatrist, I treat individuals using medication along with psychotherapy. Combining psychotherapy with medication is unique to psychiatry. Having the knowledge to understand when medication can prove helpful in enhancing a patient’s mental health comes from my two decades of experience in the field. Medication is not for everyone, and balancing a patient’s needs, wants, and concerns are of utmost importance in their treatment. I firmly believe in a multidisciplinary approach to mental health, and have worked with other mental health professionals extensively.
My training is in General Psychiatry, with a sub-specialty in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. I earned my medical degree at New York Medical College, and completed my residency training at the University of Texas. I am equally knowledgeable and comfortable in treating children as well as adults. My specialty areas include Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, anxiety, depression, developmental disorders, and parenting skills.
