Frequently Asked Questions

Welcome to our psychotherapy practice! Below you’ll find answers to some of the most common questions we receive from our clients. If you have an additional question, please feel free to contact our receptionist.

What is the first session like?

Your first session is an opportunity to get to know your therapist/physician and for your provider to get to know you. Here is what to expect:

Assessment:

Your provider will ask questions about your history, current situation, and the issues you are facing. This helps in understanding your needs and developing a personalized treatment plan.

Goal Setting:

Together we will discuss your goals and a realistic time frame for achieving them. Our providers welcome your insight input. Treatment is most effective when clients participate actively and collaboratively.

Questions and Concerns:

You will always have an opportunity to ask questions you might have about the therapy process.

What is your cancellation policy?

We require a minimum of 24 hours’ notice for cancelations. If you do not provide 24 hours’ notice, you will be charged a cancellation fee. This policy ensures that we can offer the appointment slot to another client.

How do I schedule an appointment?

Scheduling an appointment is easy. Our friendly receptionist is available to help you with all your scheduling needs and to answer any questions you might have.

Do you accept insurance?

Some of our providers accept insurance plans. Each provider is contracted independently with different companies and may not participate in your network. However, many plans offer “out of network” benefits, which may allow for some reimbursement with providers who are not in your network. Dr Brunette, our psychiatrist, does not accept insurance. Clients are encouraged to familiarize themselves with coverage for outpatient mental health services included in their insurance plans by contacting their insurance company directly. For further questions about the use of insurance in our practice, please call our main office. Our staff will be happy to assist you in navigating your insurance benefits.

What are your self-pay rates?

Our self -pay rates vary among our providers. For detailed information on rates for each therapist, please contact our main office. We can provide you with specific rates and help you understand your payment options.

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept credit cards, checks, cash, and HSA.
