Melissa Herring, Ph.D.

Dr. Herring is a licensed psychologist in the state of Georgia. She received her doctoral training in clinical psychology from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and completed her pre-doctoral internship at the Emory University School of Medicine in the Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences. She then completed an additional year of postdoctoral training at the Emory University School of Medicine specializing in child assessment through the Department of Pediatrics and women's issues through the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology. Her research background is in child development and family relationships. Her services include family, individual, and couples counseling, as well as assessment of childhood learning difficulties. She specializes in adolescent adjustment, parenting, relationships, and women's health issues. She is a member of the Georgia Psychological Association (GPA) and the American Psychological Association (APA).
