Cherokee Counseling and Psychological Associates, LLP (CCPA) is a private counseling center serving North Metro Atlanta and NW Georgia. Founded in the late 1980’s, we have grown with the community to a large diversified group. Our staff includes a psychiatrist, psychologists, and a licensed nurse practitioner (see Our Staff list for further description). We are located at 8910 Main Street in historic downtown Woodstock.
It is our mission at CCPA to provide the highest quality of mental health services to children, families, and adults throughout the lifespan. We provide a variety of services, including: individual, couple, family and group psychotherapy; assessment; consultation; community outreach; and medication management. The therapeutic approaches we offer to clients include: cognitive behavioral, family systems, interpersonal, psychodynamic and existential orientations.
We all share a deep commitment to helping people change their lives to develop and maintain healthy relationships. We know that change requires work on the part of both the client and therapist. This is often a difficult, but rewarding process that is enhanced in the comfortable and safe environment we provide for our clients. We pride ourselves on honoring the privacy and confidentiality of our clients and adhere to all Georgia State laws governing the practice of psychology and psychiatry.
We are a group of highly trained and experienced clinicians with an average of 13 years of mental health service. This represents service to more than 25,000 different individuals. We are committed to maintaining knowledge of the most current advances in the field of psychology and psychiatry.
